The Parisian duo offers a thick and primitive sound that draws as much from hardcore as from noise or post punk, or even from hyperpop but not too much anyway, the autotune in pedal is too expensive. The strident bass with piercing riffs happily accompanies the synths with lo-fi sauce; drums with "asymmetrical" rhythms (that's the Western term) mix with melanco-electronic patterns with a lot of candor, all sprinkled here and there with analog distortion. This bio is starting to look too much like a cooking recipe but their music is no less delicious, moreover, if their sound were to be a cake, it would surely be a raspberry tiramisu with some dark chocolate olives on top . Velvélé, an anti-institutional musical project best listened to with earplugs, has still not been contacted to make a Zénith. It can't be long. In the meantime, there are still the damp cellars and dark squats just waiting to have their eardrums knocked out. At your tinnitus, get set, go.
